Yeah, this is really good stuff. I'm really enjoying it. I just wish I knew more about aspartame and acesulfame potassium. From what I do know it's the same sweetener they use in diet coke anyway, just more of it.

My step-brother had this about ten years ago, when he was travelling thru New Hampshire with his first wife. He reported on it thereafter. It was not good. He said, to be as complimentary as he could, it tasted like cough syrup.

'Elixir', please. Yeah, it's not your run-of-the-mill sody-pops. It's pretty potent. That's why you've got to have 'guts' to drink the stuff. It cures what ails ya! Still, it's one of my favorite bevvies, right behind bottled RC cola. And if we're talking diet soda, I won't touch anything but TAB. I taunt cancer.

If you worrying about the amount of sugar in soft drink/aspartame in diet drinks etc. then you're drinking too much of it.

Can anyone tell me why Americans are obsessed with Sodium levels? Foods have 'Low in Sodium' etc on the front packaging. No where else in the world does this, so it always puzzles me when im in the US. Can't you tell by, um, how salty they taste and by using a little common sense?

Yeah, but they don't usually let you taste the chips before you buy them.

Sodium (as I understands it) directly tinkers with a person's blood pressure, and as a nation of bloated, red-faced Ted Kennedys, we are all concerned with when (not if) our next heart attack will occur. The sodium labeling, I suppose, helps a person guage that.

We're obsessed because too much sodium fucks you up. Our processed foods have WAY too much sodium, and I haven't seen much packaged food that has 'Low In Sodium' listed on it, and I look for that shit.

Long story, but I found out the hard way how much it can screw with your body.
