Hottest day of the year so far in Dallas. 102 with a bullet...a bullet that killed the compressor on our central A/C unit. Tomorrow being a holiday and all, the A/C repairman says it probably won't be fixed until Wednesday. The thermostat in my house currently reads 88. Next stop...Motel 6.

WOO-HOO!!!

I arrive at the Studio 6 Suite on Stemmons tomorrow. It better go down to 60 degrees in that room.

Hahaha! Good one!

Actually, it's when you open all the windows, turn on all your fans and sit in front of one with a bowl of ice in front of you.

Things got even worse last night. As we were getting in the car to head for Motel 6, I accidentally slammed the door on my mom's hand. Then, once we were in our rooms for the night, my youngest pulled the door over his foot, pulling back the toenail on his big toe.

FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Reminds me of the time I "accidentally" punted my sister-in-law's bitchy poodle into a thatch of nettles.

Yeah, I've just spent the past 48 hours as an unpaid Dave Barry. But things are OK now.

Griswold would actually be a step up at this point, although we did just buy a 2005 Family Truckster on Saturday.
