I need cash for earnest money on the new place we're looking to buy, so I'm pondering selling off some of my stash of top-notch guitar gear. If nobody bites, then it'll go for sale locally for the "right" price. Prices here are discounted nicely. Oh, and I'll post pics if anyone wants to see them, otherwise not, so I don't slow up the load time too bad (plus imageshack seems to not like me today). I take paypal, and I'll drive any of this a reasonable distance, so Chicagoans take note. On the block are:

1996 Fender Vibrolux Reverb Reissue amp. This is a 40 watt 2x10 combo with a roadcase, reverb and tremolo, not a hint of a problem. Been gigged every single week for 2.5 years, never a hiccup. New they're about $950, used in this nice of condition, generally $550-700, for Obners, $450, including the friggin $125 case.

1998 Mesa Dual Rectifier Trem-o-verb combo. This is the 2x12, 100 watt, 100lb monster. I DO NOT want to sell this, but I haven't used it anywhere out of the house in 2.5 years(except once, and it was wayyyy too big for that gig, I just wanted it to get some fresh air). If anyone doesn't know what this is, ask, otherwise I'll assume you do, because it's a very well known amp. Condition is very good, with one snafu, which is that the mini toggle switch that turns on the tremolo on the bottom channel broke. Otherwise, all good in the hood. Footswitch included. This will be collectable (already is somewhat), and I HATE to lose it, but I don't play rock music right now, nor have I for the last few years. So new it was $1500, I got it at 2 months old (the guy returned it because it was too heavy) for $1100, they regularly go for over $900, for Obners $750. For example, this dude's reserve on it is $800, buy it now is $1400... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43374&item=7336027597&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW **I don't think I could ship this thing! It's gotta weigh a hair over 100lbs, and I don't have a box big enough... it would really need a crate, and dammit that's too much work. So driving distance only on the Mesa.

1991 Les Paul Studio. Wine red, gold hardware, good condition. There are some small chips in the finish, and some tarnish on the hardware, which happens when these things get to be 15 years old, but it's solid. Original hardware, hardshell case. New, they go for over a grand, used they're normally at least $750, for Obners $550. No catch.

If anyone wants some of this, just let me know. If you want it shipped, I'll go to the post office to figure out what it costs, and then tack it on to the price. If you wanna come get it or have me meet you somewhere, I'm game. And if they don't sell, awesome, because I HATE to get rid of gear, which is why I have 11 guitars, 3 amps, and a bass. But I need $.

Cheers.

I know, I know. I do Not want to see it go, but if it goes to a good home, I could stomach it.

But I could also stomach just keeping it. They don't make em like that anymore.

Keep the Mesa, bubba.

I'll see if my roomie and I can split on the Fender. You'd like him, great guy, great guitarist, we'll give it a good home, and if the time comes when you want it back, we'll return it to daddy.

Plus, that'd give us a reason to get up to madtown and geek over some nice acoustics.

Right on, man. It's a great amp, very punchy. On 3 it's country, on 8 it's stevie ray vaughn... no master volume.
