A: No.

Okay, but we'll just have to pretend that The Ladykillers never happened.

True, although that isn't terrible. Hopefully, that is the worst they can do.

Has Spielberg ever made a bad movie?

I liked The Ladykillers. It probably wasn't on par with other Coen Brothers movies but it was still entertaining.

What about that one with Zeta-Jones and Clooney? I haven't seen it, but I was getting it confused with the one with Clooney and Michelle Phiffer. That should say something.

Intolerable Cruelty is great. It doesn't look like a Coen brothers movie on the surface, but it should be obvious to anyone that they made it after watching the film. It's tons of fun.

By the way, here's an good review of Intolerable Cruelty for those who missed it.

Yeah, I can't remember the name of it either. It didn't blow, but I'm gonna guess without having seen it that The Ladykillers was better.

Hudsucker, like Lebowski, took at least two viewings for the brilliance to sink in.

1941. But I don't blame Spielberg--it's as well directed as anything, but:
A.) Bigger doesn't not necessarily mean funnier (I call this the Blues Brothers law)
B.) The script blooooooows. Just. Not. Funny.

I'd still take 1941 over The Terminal.

I had no desire to see The Terminal at all. Give me another Minority Report or Catch Me If You Can please.

Are you kidding? You saw what he did to AI, right? The Terminal was ass. War of the Worlds was a disaster. Jurassic Park. I'm done with Spielberg until he makes a good movie again.

I wasn't deitizing the guy... I thought The Terminal was crap, and didn't even bother seeing AI. I asked because I was having this conversation with somebody at work, and wanted the Obn-spin on the topic.

You didn't like War of the Worlds? I've heard pretty good things so far, though I've yet to see it. And Jurassic Park was a qual movie, IMO.

The only thing War Of The Worlds had going for it was sustained intensity, which was lost as soon at Tim Robbins hit the screen. I was praying for him to get a shovel to the head.

Hudsucker is probably my favorite Coen Brothers movie.
And it's been too long since I've seen it.

Paul Newman as an evil motherfucker is just too much fun. And Tim Robins does naieve so damn well. Hell, he's practically made a career of it.

Hook is a good little kids movie for little kids. It doesn't really work alot of levels like some movies for youngsters. But I don't think it's crap. Terminal and War of the Worlds are two of the worst movies I've seen in recent memory.

As far as Hudsucker goes, I haven't seen it in quite some time. I was probably 14 when I saw it, and as a 14yr old I thought it sucked balls. Maybe now that I'm older I might apperciate it more, but I probably won't see it anytime soon.
