Saw this this afternoon with the family. Wonderful. Johnny Depp continues to fascinate me. Topper of all was the music. Don't miss this. I won't go too far in so as not to spoil.

I'm saving Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for next week, but I just saw Wedding Crashers and it was a blast. Great movie to see with a bunch of friends who enjoy a good R-rated comedy.

First one's overrated. This will be complete crap.

And, Tim Burton is hack.

First one's not that bad, but I'm a sucker for anything Gene Wilder does. Tim Burton's flicks have never done it for me in the past, this one likely won't make me a convert.

I thought it was great. The Oompa Loompa numbers are glorious.

The only thing that I didn't like was Willy Wonka's backstory. I felt it detracted from the film overall.

And the ending. Ugh.

I'm still pissed that Marilyn Manson isn't playing Wonka.

I've been waiting for this to be released, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to catch it.

If I already saw the original, why should I see this one?

Depp's perfomance, which is something to behold. Plus, any movie with Christopher Lee in it is worth seeing at least once. Even bad ones.

Amen to that. We'll be going, since there is a dearth of kid movies this year. Batman Begins was awesome, but a little over the top for the li'l'un.

I'm grateful for the local discount matinee. Thought the movie was pretty good and Depp gave one of his best performances, but spending 9 bucks on a ticket sucks.

That's nothing compared to $46 for a medium popcorn "value" meal.

Rocky III, chase. And I usually hate Tim Burton films, but this one was different. They did preview a little flick that the has coming out next called Corpse Bride. It looked atrocious.

Flowthgin, because this one is almost exactly the same while being completely different. 'nuff said.

I don't agree with the reviewers who say he was playing Michael Jackson or Marilyn Manson. I think it was more Dave Foley as Edward Scissorhands.

If Deep Roy is nominated for best supporting actor how many nominations should he get? Will they count the Oompa Loompas?
