Any time I try to play music or movie, I get this message:

Quote:
The procedure entry point MakeCriticalSelectionGlobal could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

My music will still play fine, and it only happens the one time I open Winamp but I'd still like to know what it means.

KERNEL32.DLL errors can be caused by a lot of shit, and hard to figure out

Also, most people are able to play the audio but not the video, not the other way around, when they don't have the right codecs

Maybe try using something else apart from WMP, DivX player perhaps?

Okay, the audio plays fine now. Apparently I didn't think to just restart the computer.

But the message still.

There is no fucking way I'm doing that. Transferring all my mp3's alone to cd would take forever. I'm not erasing this whole system when the computer is literally three months old.

There's got to be another answer. I'm sure it's something relatively simple.
