CJSW has started doing podcasts. Reverb is an especially excellent show.

I also listen to the CBC Radio 3 podcast for the best in new Canadian indie music.

Would it be possible for us to start creating podcasts of our mix CDs using something like odeo.com? That might be something we could all do, and maybe eventually Aaron could add a page containing all of our mix CD podcasts. Would that work?

Bob, that's brilliant. Who wants to head this up?
I think we actually host the mp3 files though, and you make a mix cd into 1 file at a lower bitrate than most people on the board like.

I also think this needs to be utilized for the all-monger talk radio show that will be hosted by LooGAR, Bloor, Derris, Busty, and Squirrgle.

Its Me and Bloor that most of this stuff emanates from...

Derris is just FUNNY. The only person who I can look at and just start cracking up. Busty and Squirrgle - they funny too.

Busty has some recordings that he denies having that would make everyone hate me....

HOW DO WE DO THIS? Someone talk me/Bloor through it, cos we were talking about getting a tape together for a friend of mine who has radio connects.

Easiest way is to get a basic program that let's you do minimal editing to mp3s... like iMovie for Mac... I'm no help for PC users. A cheap microphone, some good tunes and your set.

Most people keep their shows under an hour and encode the MP3 at around a 112 bitrate to keep the file size under 50MB.

You can do 14 songs at 96 bitrate and it comes to around 45mb. Can even fit a little chatting in between too.
