Ex-Food TV host [Cooks Tour] gets his new travel/food show on the Travel Channel, and damn it's good. Last week he was in the catacombs of France, this week trapped in a blizzard with some black death in Iceland.

He has it......the best job ever.

Anyone else seen this yet, or any Bourdain fans?

Have not seen it, no cable here. But, Kitchen Confidential was a great read. Many grammatical errors in that book, but a fuckin' page turner if you like anything to do with the food business.

I loved Kitchen Confidential. I also like his Les Halles cookbook.

I don't get the travel channel so I guess I'll have to try and find it on bittorrent or the newsgroups.

I used to watch him intermittently on "A Cook's Tour" and I like his attitude a lot. Damn entertaining, but I don't watch enough tv to really follow him. Good shit, though.

I've read his book Kitchen Confidential too.

It was a good read and he has a flair for writing as well as cooking but he sure comes across as a cocky, unlikeable bastard. Maybe all chefs are like that? Every time I see Bobby Flay on TV he looks pissed and unhappy.

Kitchen Confidential is pretty qual. I mean its about who is a fuck up and a H freak and becomes a world class chef. They are actually making it the basis for a sitcom  I saw a preview last week.

I love the Cook'sTour show, and am amped to see this new one. What a life.

These chefs live like rock stars. It's only a matter of time til Mario is arrested for sniffing powder off a whore's ass.
