This thread reminded me that I was due for a trip to Academy. Here are yesterday's purchases (about $45 total):

Pitty Sing -- 2005 s/t
Drive By Truckers -- Southern Rock Opera
Juliana Hatfield -- Made in China
John Doe -- Forever Hasn't Happened Yet
Head of Femur -- Hysterical Stars
Andrew Bird -- Oh! The Grandeur
Grand National -- Kicking the National Habit

When I went to visit my sister at NYU, I found some good ones to browse. So if you're in the Greenwich Village/SOHO area, I know there are at least 3 good ones.

Rocks in Your Head is pretty cool. I'm pretty sure it's in SOHO.

Other Music in Greenwich Village is good, too.

Finally, there was a good one in Alphabet City (near the Village), but I can't remember what it was called.

I have no streets, so I'm probably no help whatsoever, but if you are in that area, you will be able to find some good places.

I think it's at the corner of Prince and Thompson. Decent selection, but the prices are a little high. There were some interesting boxes of cheap discs in the very back.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I think I found some decently priced used stuff, but their new selection is probably a bit overpriced.
