But their using Filter's guitarist instead. How do you get an audition like that?

Are these guys still good? They came out when I was really into that guitar driven rock. Their first album was very good in my opinion. I think their second album was just too heavy for me at that time. I think I saw them open for Filter once at the stupid Riv. That show was really a good time because Filter did bring it. I remember singing along to "Take a Picture" :)

I remember being like who the hell is this when they opened for someone at the Metro some years back.

Yeah, the first time I saw them was at a Christian music festival I went to in high school. I was blown away by them then (probably 1997 or so) but didn't really like what I heard from them on the radio. I still have a sticker on my guitar case that says "Chevelle. Squint Hard." from when they were on Squint Records and hadn't released anything but an EP.
