This is a Belle And Sebastian "greatest hits" I made as an intro for my friend. It didn't include everything I wanted to or everything I probably should have, and there was nothing off the new album, but I wanted to keep it to one disc.

1. The State I Am In
2. Dog On Wheels
3. Lazy Line Painter Jane
4. A Century Of Fakers
5. Seeing Other People
6. Like Dylan In The Movies
7. Is It Wicked Not To Care?
8. The Boy With The Arab Strap
9. This Is Just A Modern Rock Song
10. Legal Man
11. Don't Leave The Light On Baby
12. The Wrong Girl
13. Jonathan David
14. I'm Waking Up To Us
15. Step Into My Office, Baby
16. I'm A Cuckoo
17. Wrapped Up In Books

I was thinking about doing something like this myself as I listened to the new (and old) albums. Pretty good choices but no 'Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying'?

Taking three from each 'proper' album.

1. State I Am In
2. You're Just A Baby
3. I Could Be Dreaming
4. Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying
5. If You're Feeling Sinister
6. Judy And The Dream Of Horses
7. Summer Wasting
8. Seymour Stein
9. Boy With The Arab Strap
10. The Model
11. The Wrong Girl
12. Nice Day For A Sulk
13. I'm A Cuckoo
14. Wrapped Up In Books
15. Stay Loose
16. Another Sunny Day
17. White Collar Boy
18. Sukie In The Graveyard

That was the very last song I had to cut. I had it just below 80 minutes because that's what the cd label said it held, but I could only fit 74 or something on it, so I ended up cutting that track.

i don't think you can do a proper b&s overview mix without including "your cover's blown" -- probably their best song from the new "happy" b&s era.
