I think this is probably the best mix to be posted so far.

Well, I like the first disc in particular.

contradiction - Yeah, every year, disc 1 is supposed to be the crowd-pleaser. That's a hit among Florida people who've never heard a lot of those artists.

Disc 2 is the tough one. That's for CMJ-type people that know the disc 1 artists up and down. It's a chance to expose a lot of indie-rock-types to extreme metal, avant-hiphop, IDM, noise, ambient and exploding insect music from southeast asia.

Nope. But I'll gladly burn one for anyone who sends me an SASE.

bort. Yep I'm in Florida. That's why I'm posting every 5 minutes. Because I'm bored bored bored bored bored bored bored.

Well I liked disc 2 a lot also, but I like the inclusion of so much hip hop in disc 1...won't get that from many people round these parts sans me. (not saying that people don't love hip hop here, but i seem to be one of the dudes who listens to hip hop more than most other stuff, i think)

All this being said, I too am releasing a 2-disc best of 2004 set. But to make it easier on myself, it's not going to be necessarily the best songs of 2004, but rather...it's more for my clueless friends, and accompanies my Top 50 list, that I will be releasing on Monday. (only albums from the list are represented on the discs).

Anyway, yeah. Good lookin out.
