Did you write your own avatar hiding hack, or did you get one that was already out there? The way the feature is implemented on this board hides avatars everywhere. However, I've noted that the forums at mozillazine.org will hide avatars everywhere except the profile page. This is cool if you're the kind to block avatars, but get curious whenever you read people commenting on eachothers and shit.

Just sayin'. Don't go through the extra trouble if nobody else shows any interest in this other way of implementing the feature... uhh... and shit.

It's probably a mix of the two (someone else's hack that I've modified), but I'll keep the suggestion in mind when I overhaul the board a little later on.
