Took a friend's boat out on the Dog River and out to Mobile Bay. We didn't catch anything, but we did drink some beer!

Came back and had a finr low country boil with about 20lbs. of Crawfish and 10lbs or monstrous head-on ROYAL RED Shrimp.

Watched some of the draft and made more beer go away. Had to take it on back to the house before dark, though.

Even though the folks I was hangin with are probably 1/2 bustermade, if every Saturday were this good for me, I might quit complainin'

Oh yeah, and listened to tons of music, Allman Bros Live in ATL 1970. That gray cover Jerry Garcia Band double disc, and both full discs of Being There (more on that when I can collect my thoughts)

Reminds me, I just found a copy of Boz Scaggs second album (co-produced by Jann Wenner) from 1969 for cheeeeap at a reckid swap. He had Duayne Allman in the band on that one and goddammit there's some shredding going on. "Loan Me A Dime" is epic.

That Garcia Band album is pretty good. Great version of I Shall Be Released.

Mmmmm... low country boil....

Made this for a party up here a year ago. Nobody'd ever heard of it. Same with Brunswick Stew. Then again, I didn't know what cheese curds or frozen custard were.

Oh, and they don't do grits right here.

Never thought of them as that..they are actually a darker blue. I only have a few pair of shorts with me, because I was unaware that I would be here forever. Hence the high fashion combo of bball shorts and a safari jacket.
