I can't think of any, specifically, but just about any band that ends their name with a "UK", E.G. Chameleons UK, Mission UK. I never understood why Drain STH are called that, I wonder if it's because of a lawsuit.One of my favourites.I thought they just did that to be confusing.

One of those no-win situations. An American band and a British band simultaneously called The Beat. One winds up getting called The (English) Beat and the other becomes (Paul Collin's) Beat. As far as I can tell then, the name The Beat is still up for grabs.

I'm pretty sure there was two bands with the name Mos Eisley around at the same time - one in the US and one in the UK.

The kiwi band Shihad changed their name to Pacifier before they began their attempted assault on the American market, because Shihad sounded too much like Jihad, and everyone knows that 'all Americans hate Arabs'. They made a shitty record of crappy American-made conventional 'alt rock' poo poo, then changed their name back to Shihad, and started playing good music again.

Not a lawsuit, but after 9-11, I Am The World Trade Center temporarily became something else. I think it was just The World Trade Center, I dunno why.

they changed to I Am because they wanted to disassociate with the buildings, but that wasn't long-lived.
