Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - "B.L. Got Soul" (true)
Skinny Puppy - "Addiction (First Dose)" (Rhythm Nation 1814, with corpses)
Mark Heard - "Dancing At The Policemen's Ball" (dead Christian guy from my high school years)
Depeche Mode - "Shouldn't Have Done That" (early one I actually like)
Dump - "Again" (precious, good precious)
Roxy Music - "Casanova" (one of the best driving songs ever)
Elvis Costello - "Dr. Luther's Assistant" (even Costello has just-decent tunes)
The Trash Can Sinatras - "All The Dark Horses" (they don't rock, but Weightlifting is still one of the best releases of last year)
Doubting Thomas - "Yowtch" (not very painful)
Bruce Springsteen - "Worlds Apart" (or, Warren Zevon does "Red Rain")
Feist - "Inside & Out" (If ya gotta remake the Gibbs, this the way to do it)
Dinosaur, Jr. - "Puke And Cry" (been there...)
The Go-Betweens - "Cut It Out" (should have been a huge hit back then)
Proclaimers - "It's Saturday Night" (no, it's not)
Daniel Johnston - "Man At War" (my wife really, really hates him. I don't)
Mano Negra- "Sidi 'H' Bibi" (probably my favorite fake world music song ever)
The Wonder Stuff - "No, For The 13th Time" (Weddoes by way of Tragically Hip)
Blondie - "I'm Gonna Love You, Too" (Smashmouth haven't destroyed this yet)
King Missile - "Margaret's Eyes" (novelty bullshit, but I luv 'em)
Big Bill Broonzy - "Joe Turner No. 2" (acoustic blues done right)

np: David Bowie - Hours

best of 2005 (so far mix) http://www.obner.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=7187

Seeing what the GF thinks (she likes so far), plus its not too harsh on my brain (which hurts) though I'm thinking this Bloody Mary may solve it......
