recommend some. i'm having a hard time thinking of anyone else to check out. lately we've been liking patton oswalt, eugene mirman, dave attell, louis ck, etc. eagerly anticipating sara silverman's movie Jesus is Magic.

Can't think of anyone I'd rather see less than Saget, either in family mode or dirty joke mode.

You want quality dirty jokes, get an old Billy Connolly album.

I dunno about his albums but I'd recommend going to see Neil Hamburger.

Gotta have some Mitch Hedberg. Too bad the guy died.

Dane Cook is pretty funny too.

stuff like pryor or carlin is great but, in the case of the former, i already have almost all of his recorded stuff, and the latter, i've got what i want. i'm kind of trying to find something that i've not heard before. i laughed at a dane cook special once on tv but the recorded stuff i've found didn't do it for me.

I've touted Derek & Clive here a couple times. AMG's scoop:

Dudley Moore and Peter Cook return in the guise of their offensive alter egos for a second dose of crude tomfoolery, including scandalous improvisations on cancer, incest, masturbation, and murder. Some bits are funnier than others, but all are worth double their weight in shock value. The set's best routine is a somewhat simple tale of broken traffic laws. Prudes need not be bothered that recent CD versions of this rude 1977 album contain an additional 17-plus minutes of foul language and incoherent comedy.

I'd also add G. Carlin's FM & AM to the list.

i dunno, i could recommend scads of stuff that might get a few laughs and then you'd never listen to again. There's that Nick Swerdson (sp?) guy i think is pretty funny.

Saget is supposedly the dirtiest live comedian ever.

i know. and i figure that it's gotta be like a reds game where you show up 2 minutes late and all of the sudden an $18 ticket is going for like $3.

I don't think I could forgive Saget for his "America's Funniest" transgressions. He was un-funny to the point of inflicting actual pain through the television. I know, his fans will say he was just taking the checks, but still. I can't want someone dead for years and years and then go see them and enjoy it.

Jeez K, it wasn't that bad. I have heard that Saget works blue.

I'm looking for a comedian who works brown.

Chase, do you have XM/Sirius? I know that Busty (a serious comedy fan fo sho) touts the comedy channels on the XM....

dude, America's Funniest is like the LEAST of his transgressions, lest we forget Full House. but he did take the reigns of the classic norm mcdonald vehicle Dirty Work and that should be commended. and he claimed to have "sucked dick for coke" in a dave chappelle movie, that's gotta be worth something. of course dave also thinks that jim breuer is funny, but still...

that bill hicks show in pittsbugh is hilarious if only because he threatens the audience repeatedly.

They're not bad. Sometimes Red Fox comes on, and the recording is so bad you can barely hear it in your car, but I've heard some good stuff on there. Worth having, for sure.

he was on howard stern a few weeks ago and i thought it was going to be boring but it was pretty hysterical between him and artie lang singing ac/dc songs and jim talking about what dicks david spade and chris kattan were.
