Seriously?
It's the perfect summer beer.
Brewed in Kalamazoo, MI.
Brilliant.

EDIT: And you already know how I feel about English/Irish/Scottish beers. My favorites, in general.

Yep, and "in season" now. Great summer beer, and on tap nearly everywhere around here in Grand Rapids.

Bell's have many seasonal beers. All are good. But the Oberon is my favorite of them all.

EDIT:
And we had an outdoor wedding, back in the summer of 1997 – Oberon was on tap. Awwwww yeah!

The Corkscrew on Coventry near Mayfield in Cleveland Heights carries Bells. So does the only liquor store in Brecksville.

Yeah, chances of me getting any of that down here are slim, but I loves me some good cold beers on a hot summer day.

Dat is indeed damn goog beer. Hoooly crap, Bell's is just phenominal. Their 2 Hearted is the hoppiest thing I think I've ever had that was still really damn good.

Speaking of beer, I just went downstairs to get one, and I get back up to the seat here, and realize that I haven't a bottle opener for this Guiness. There's one about 15 feet away, but... it's 15 whole feet away, and damn I don't wanna get back up. So I open the desk drawer, dig around, find a cheapy phillips screwdriver, awaken the inner redneck, and manage that sucker open.

It's the little things.

I have a scar on my thumb from a similar operation gone awry. (You are a bit more technically proficient than me, tho)

I come from excellent redneck stock on dad's side. It has strange, rare bonuses.

One of my recurring gigs the last 3 years was at a bar that had it on tap, and that's (almost exclusively) where I've had it. We got free beer whilst playing, and we went top-shelf with it. Hell, I never had more than 3 a night anyway, and we only played there every few months.

Ever get ahold of any Lake Louie? That's from over on this side of Lake M.

It's good, but maybe not Bell's good. Bell's is in that Samuel Smith's / Rogue / Bellhaven catagory for me, just amazingly well made, almost over-the-top good.

speaking of bell's....
whenever i go visit my best friend in cincinnati, we head over to 'the party source' in northern kentucky...(which has a phenomenal beer selection...).

it used to be that i would stock up on the bell's java stout to bring home with me... but then i figured out that whenever i would drink that stuff (which is OH SO TASTY) .... i would sleep horribly. and i think the caffeine in it would make my heart race all night long. (if that's even possible.) ....i won't even drink it anymore. ugh. horrible feeling.
