Brunettes:

It was "cute". Cardigan-esque vibe I got from them. Perhaps
a little B&S.


Nada Surf:

5th time seeing them and did not dissapoint. Loved the 3 news songs.
Shame nothing was played from High/Low. I guess they reserve that
for their headlining shows. New album comes out in September.


Rilo Kiley:

Much better show than I saw last October. They rock it more live then
on the album. Jenny, oh how hot you are. Them opening for Coldplay
might sway me to buy a ticket.

Brunettes are a local band and a shit one at that.

Rock. I saw this show Thursday night in Toronto.

We just caught the last song of the Brunettes. Some song about the Olsen twins with the members wearing masks of their faces.

Nada Surf were decent, if not a little boring after a while. I love Let Go so I was happy that they started with 'Blizzard of '77' and played a lot off that album. But clearly the only song anyone truly wanted to hear was 'Popular' and they were steadfastly against that.

Rilo Kiley were fan. I fully expected them to promote the new album and I enjoy it so I'm glad they did. One of the girls I was with was angry that they didn't play much off the first album, but what do you expect? Plus, they did play 'The Execution of All Things' and 'The Good That Won't Come Out'.



The post-concert adventures were more memorable than the show itself, however. Wandering the streets for five hours killing time until the trains start running again. Travelling from Pizza Pizza to Tim Horton's to Sneaky Dee's to an internet cafe to Union Station on no sleep.
