I dont remember who it was, but about a year ago, someone was raving about the Shrimp Boat collection that was released. As someone who isnt familiar with this band (although I enjoy prekop) is this something the uninitiated will appreciate?

While Discs 2-4 of the box are stunning (Disc 1 is a little tough to digest), I would start out with their last 2 albums first: Duende (1991) and Cavale (1993). They are perfection. And I don't mind taking the title of "Biggest Geek About Favorite Unknown Bands". I still have several of you thanking me for turning them on to Martin Newell. I love Shrimp Boat every bit as much and I'm sure I'll have many of you thanking me about them very soon.
