i'm with you. i just can't seem to get my ass into gear this morning.

It is now 10 till 9 and I haven't even showered yet. Good thing I'm the first one there every morning.

car broke down yesterday, today is a work at home day until car is fixed, actually taking care of my son until momma returns from errands, so a good day and a friday

Why do the cloudy skies and drizzle in NYC always appear on a Friday? Oh, well, I get out at 1pm today. I'll deal.

this is my first non-hungover friday in weeks. i think i'll have to celebrate that tonight.

i will be surprised if i don't faceplant on my keyboard by the time i get out of here. so. hungover. it. hurts. i did end up going to see the pixies last night and it was good times.

time to do it all over again tonight. of montreal!

i was going to go see Kathleen Edwards, but now I have to go spend the evening with some of my wife's friends' house in the suburbs. awesome.

I'm leaving at 4 to meet some folks for happy hour. Unfortunately, I paid all my bills earlier this week, and realize I have about enough money for one beer. Yay me.

We have a rockin' department social planned. Be still, my heart. Can't ditch as it's the last one of the year and technically in honor of those of us leaving.

i can't wait to jet @ 4, sell my huge entertainment center (for a piddly $350) & just relax... maybe i'll buy the new patrick wolf today (picture unclear).

these seems like reasons to make me ditch out on it even more.

They're reasons to make ditching desireable, but it's a very small world, academia, and I've already used up my being-a-department-asshole quota.

Today is boring as friggin hell. I'm also exhausted from three glasses of wine last night and half a beer. yes i'm a lightweight.

But in my defense I'd barely eaten all day.

anyways it's slow here, I'm tired and headachy and want to go home. Work sucks.

We're supposed to go out tonight to see a friend's band at Bottom Lounge but I think I'm gonna skip it since I have to go somewhere in the morning and then come back and close up shop tomorrow night.

Phil: Yes I'll be there. ALready told you that.

What I have accomplished today:
Checked the mail
Emailed my mom about my cousin's wedding (Philly for Labor Day, fools!)
Emailed a friend of my dad's who needed a phone number from me
Called a lawyer's office about some Social Security claim for afamily member
Sent PMs to oldbulee and derris
Talked to Busty/Bloor on ichat
cashed a massive re-imbursement check, which, unfortunately I can't blow
took an 1.5/hr lunch to eat some massive BBQ at a gas station
i will be leaving in 20 minutes to see Cinderella Man.

Yep.

Still two hours to go.

3 for me.

i will be at the arlington race track all day/night tomorrow for a b-day party thing. have a great show, man.

i get out at 3pm. 47 more minutes. God bless summer hours.

My boss only works until 3pm usually, but she is working from home today and as soon as she signs off the network, I'm gonna wait a bit and then head out. My plan is to be gone by 4pm, though its looking a bit bleak at this point. Eventhough it was a 4 day week, it still didn't seem that short. Gah.

what i've accomplished today: nothing.

and i'm leaving in one hour, but i have to take care of a shitload of errands. boo!

Son of a biscuit eater, I'm still here at work. SIGN OFF THE NETWORK SO I CAN LEAVE ALREADY.

i'm officially anxious to leave for the day. (maybe i'll slip out even earlier.)
