I was the offending Other instigator initially, though my suggestion wasn't meant to be serious.

I think the origins of the word obner are irrelevant, and I don't see why everyone insists on clutching on to its definition as a badly concealed euphemism for hard-on. Hell, even the word boner has different definitions than erect penis - blunder or mistake spring to mind. Plus Obner works as its own nonsense word. So, IMO, those who see Obner as merely a schoolboy's sniggering joke are people wholly lacking in imagination.

All I know is it's better than 'konstantinl'.

That's how I've always thought of it. I'm not sure that non-Obs would even guess the origin of the word.

can someone break down the actual difference between us and the hipinion board? I mean i know the story behind both and i'm sure there's much in common, but i always assumed they were more jaded or pissed or both. i mean, lots of us are pretty pissed all the time, but you know...
