yeah but who the fuck goes back and reads old maxims?
Sometimes it's nice to see pics of, for example, Britney Spears back when she was hot.

...I know, I know, she never did a shoot for Maxim. Bite me, it was just an hypothetical example.

god knows there's none of those on the internet. the hot britney spears will clog the infrastructure of the web well into the 2050s

One could always rent a storage unit.

Or donate them to a library.

You might wanna see if anything you have is going for big bucks on eBay. Other than that, recycle 'em.

I'm clearing my flat at the moment because I have workmen coming round. I'm not that pleased about it to be honest. But the really depressing thing about the clearing up process is the amount of magazines I've got. I've literally got hundreds maybe even nudging into four figures. I've pretty much stopped buying magazines now but for a good 15 years I picked up EVERY issue of 6 or 7 titles - Record Collector, Mojo, Q, Uncut etc.

Anyway I'm kinda pissed off right now and don't want to have to go through this again but at the same time I'm not sure if I want to chuck all these magazines. I'm also not sure what I'd do if I did want to get rid of them because there's lots of them.

What to do? Keep them? Ditch them? Am I just annoyed because I actually have to DO STUFF for once or is this a genuine hassle/issue?

Dump the ones you don't want at Half Price Books (if there is one in your area).

Now that's a great idea! Let's all encourage everyone to rent some storage units

I gotta do this myself. Got boxes full of RS and Creem from the mid - late '70s and early '80s. Even have an ish or two of NYC Rock Scene, with Lenny Kaye's "Ask Doc Rock" column (and one of them has a shot of an up-and-coming band of long-haired rock star wannabes called Frankenstein, who morphed only months later into the Dead Boys).

Hmm, wonder if any old Jersey folks would pay gobs of gelt for my issues of The Splatter Effect.

I'd keep the Creem's, just cuz they're cool. I'd ditch the Rolling Stone's, & I'd lock the Rock Scene's in a safe.
