(of cause the bias you speak of is there but) i guess the bigger point maybe common has always been frustrating cause he has always been a bit of a letdown. i mean the man can rap.

i've always been of the opinion that i like his message or subjects or whatever, but the man flat out can't rap at all. I don't like the way he phrases things, and his voice though unique is grating to me.

i always thought that line about common was refering to Jay wishing his subject matter was like commons, not his flow or skills. (i assume we are talking about the same lyrical shout out to common)

and on that i sort of agree.

good album. i haven't heard much hip-hop this year, but definitely... common > the game (which WAS my fav rap album of the year so far, which speaks to how little i've heard.)
