they just released their s/t debut... i can see how one wouldn't like the voice, either you like it or you don't. i wish those fuckers would hurry up & put up the video on their website for "over and over again (lost and found)" because my friend did that video, it's really good.

"upon this tidal wave of young blood" is another track that is really good.

After checking out a few of their songs, I can definitely see the attraction to them. I'm adding 'em to my list.

This Home on Ice is all i've heard of them and it's instantly forgettable. They might grow on me, but this is really nothing that i haven't heard infinite times before.

The songs I've heard from this album are so good.

RIYL? What would you compare the voice to? I'd download a song but I'm at work and hate listening to stuff at my cubicle.

umm...guys? modest mousey but with a bit more melody, with vocals that could very easily be described as whiney. In the last day this album has grown on me in leaps and bounds

Dude sounds like David Byrne on NyQuil. First listen was kinda meh. I heard him say "David Bowie". That's another point off.

And I ordered it after listening to the samples. Sounded great to me.

Yeah, I've always thought of myself as "most", too. Thanks, Dri.

here are 2 more tracks that aren't on the cyhsy website:

here

but be prepared, if you don't like his voice you won't like "the skin of my yellow county teeth."

also, if you search the newest blog entry on that site, there is a new wolf parade song of a cover of frog eyes.

2 bands i'm royally obsessed with right now. ok that is all.

I'm likin' this for the short samplings i have heard. Quirky voice but the fleshed out songs are just good melodies with rocking vibes. Maybe even a little AC Newman-ish with less urgency.

Sounds like something I'll have to listen to before buying to make sure the voice isn't too much for me. Sounds like some good stuff from what I've read and what you guys are saying though.

Downloaded 5 tracks and listened to them all just now. The dude's voice is OK, but the songs themselves really aren't anything special. I'm sorry, but to me this is exactly how I would define Generic Indie Rock c. 2005.
