Does anyone recall a Blonde Redhead live performance on KRCW? I think it was in March.

Was it any good, and if there was a CD out, would you buy it? I have the opportunity to buy one.

i don't think they release any cds of the broadcasts, but you can stream them from the kcrw site.

someone needs to get me a copy of the spoon set from a month ago... i usually find sets floating around here and there, so if i find that blonde redhead set, i'll let ya know.

I try to. But I barely do compared to the Doridas days

Chocolate City is still my favorite. When Garth is on target.... forget it

The in-studios are usually pretty cool but, as a DJ, I find Nic Harcort very.....banal and unexciting...

Douridas was leaps and bounds better...so is Garth, despite his love for BEP, Macy Gray, et al...

I've found myself bored to DETH of MBE...maybe, in a few years, when I get a decent raise and find myself trying to desperately retain my "hipster cred" as reach my 30's, a lil' Nithin Sawney in the morning'll be the way to go...

I like KCRW and Nic. I don't listen as often as I should, but if I lived in the LA area, I might have a reason to listen to the radio instead of cd's in my car. Yeah, Nick can be boring as far as his banter is concerned, but he does offer insight on bands/artists that most DJ's wouldn't take the time to communicate. Also, he plays a LOT of stuff that most radio stations wouldn't touch.

Hrrmph. Why can't Portland have a COOL public radio station like Seattle and LA????
