I'll admit I want to hear this, even though I'm not a big fan of Boards of Canada. Why is it that Boards of Canada has been techno that's been approved for indie kids to listen to, a genre that most could usually never give a fuck about?

In an ambient kind of way, yes. IDM, techno...it's basically all the same genre.
