Yeah, but apparently the senate can't pass a bill putting a minimum gas mileage that cars, trucks, and SUVs must meet.

This will either force everyone else in the world who changes clocks to move to (or near) these dates, or it will seriously mess with international business for the first few years until everyone adjusts.

The Democrats are already fucking every single appointment in Washington over a trade deal with Cuba. I don't know the details (my father was telling me the abstract over lunch), but it's in today's Washington Post. We aren't talking judicial nominees, but every single Presidential employee, including a guy who moved from Michigan to Maryland after being appointed as the head of the NLRB. He sold his house in Michigan and left a pretty nice salary to come here and now he is stuck in committee with not only no vote, but no fucking job.

That's his fault; he didnt have the job yet did he? Probably the liberal media's fault actually (the ones like Cox who own the AJC but also the radio stations that carry Neil Boortz, Sean Hannity etc.)

Yeah, these Saskatchewan folk really hang onto this no DST thing, it's like a point of local pride or something. My hometown in Ontario also passed a by-law for not obeying it either. I can't recall the reason for it though, probably something to do with the mining industry.

No shit. I thought it was bad when I was here in SK in January, when the sun wasn't up until 930am or so, and was setting late afternoon.

That is exactly right. For that reason I have always believed that the DST thing was such crap. It would make more sense to have the hours shifted in the winter when there is less daylight in general.

When the sun never sets what difference does the time make?
