luuuuuuuuuuve that chicken from Popeye's (sing along, you know the jingle)

Maybe not surprising, but the only two Popeyes' in Portland are in the "bad areas" of town. Their chicken kicks ass, and I like some red beans 'n' rice too.

yes, they're both on MLK. And Yail, growing up in Atlanta, these Portlanders got nothing on our "bad areas" of town. I laugh at the sketchy areas here.

seriously. how bad can the bad area of a town in the pacific northwest be? it can't be anything compared to dc, atlanta, fuck, even baltimore.

YEAH;
I disagree with the assumption that there arent hard areas in the NW.

I'd feel much more comfortable (personally) in SW Atlanta then in one of those little meth lab towns in Oregon or Washington.

Those folks will kill you straight away. And despite nearly getting killed the other night, ive never considered any intercity hood beyond driving through or eating at a joint in.

oakland isnt in the nw

there are a lot of redneck towns here - small redneck towns are the same as small redneck towns anywhere in general.

Love Popeye's, best fast food sides I've ever seen.

Dammit, now I want it for lunch.

i don't think i know of an MLK that doesn't have a Popeyes on it. I can think of at least 5 too.

That said, Popeyes is the only fried chicken i will eat. it is so fucking good.
