I say Slayer only because they probabaly like spicy food.

And they drink a lot.

Plus i could finally get my limited edition "blood pack" signed.

And they might do coke.

Pavement.

They probably eat in fancier restaurants.

They should have less hearty appetites.

And, we know they do coke.

Pavement

despite my love for Slayer, I will bet Dalen's paycheck that they are such big music nerds that they are impossible to deal with.

Pavement are/were well known sports freaks and talking about sports is the language of any healthy human being.

Edit: and attn el montgaue: slayer eats in better restaraunts........

I had a pretzel with Kerry King this past weekend in Indiana.

I have yet to dine with any member of Pavement.

Pavement. Something tells me they are less likely to offer me up as a sacrifice to Satan.

I hung out with Pavement backstage for about an hour in 1994 and with the exception of Nostanovich, they were some of the biggest assholes I've ever been around in my entire life

I'm pretty sure I'd never want to try to hang out with SM from everything I've seen of him. I bet Nostanovich would be cool, though. Dinner with him and David Berman (Silver Jews) would probably be awesome.

But, yeah, I'd pick Slayer. I don't want to talk about sports.

Probably Pavement. Y'know, when the eating gets hot and heavy, I'd hate to get throated by one of Kerry King's nail wristbands.

Slayer.

I actually heard they're all domesticated and stuff, so I bet we'd be eating at some posh thai restaurant or something. Except, it would still be Slayer.

SLAYER!!!

I say Pavement only so I can murder them as they eat. Especially that Gary Young guy.

I ate dinner with spiral stairs once.

I guess I'd pick slayer then, they'd probably want lots of meat and booze.

I was just thinking to myself yesterday that if I were a little kid with cancer, and Make A Wish came and asked what I wanted to do most in the world, I think right now my answer would be "I wanna go get drunk with dave grohl." Pavement do indeed seem like they'd be assholes in person, and slayer... meh.

Why can't I have both... something like a three-way chicking wing eating contest between me, Malkmus, and Lombardo?

In keeping with your newfound bi-curiosity, I assume?

i dunno, i don't really think i'd have that grand a time with either full band. musicians are usually fucking assholes, and i'm sure they'd think the same about me for the most part.

i think Bob and Mark from Pavement would probably the most enjoyable for me.
