I own Thee Shallows "History of Sport Fishing" and it's an enjoyable disc.

I mean... I don't wanna just nail every new guy who comes out pushing something new as a street teamer, but shit man, go through the introductions first, ask some questions, something... otherwise, posting from day 1 about some "hot new band you guys are just gonna shit yerselves over is going to be dumped in the reeking pile that is Street Teaming.

How old is this record? KEXP was playing this, like 17 months ago.

Agreed. I really hate being told I'm going to love something and that it WILL be on my best of 2005. I appreciate enthusiasm and all, but damn, that attitude is seriously going to sour a lot of people. It's like immediately dumping acid in the ears for whatever you're suggesting.

I hate it when someone says and album is "good" or "overwhelming" or other nondescript positive adjectives. Give me a RIYL any day!

I really hate this album, but you'll love it if you like Jewel or Norah Jones or Joss Stone or any other nondescript singer/songwriter who pretends it's not about the nookie...

Put it this way, it sounds like a low budget cross between the Postal Service and Grandaddy.

yeah, that sounds like album of the year material to me.
