Save your money.

Or just buy the BHP In the Fishtank. I haven't heard that.

Do you already own every other Mountain Goats album? Because that's the last one anybody should ever buy.

Mt. Eerie is good for the first 2/3, I guess, but again, it's the worst Microphones album.

Is it safe to assume that you already own the Prefuse 73, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, Stereolab, Animal Collective, and Q and Not U albums they have on here?

Noxagt is pretty cool. Heavy instrumental stuff with some kind of violin/fiddle thing thrown in. I like Turning It Down..., but it's really short (only 2o-something minutes).

Blood Brothers - March on Electric Children is pretty good. My favorite album of theirs.

If you like Lightning Bolt, Mindflayer is one of the drummer's side projects, but I've never heard them.

I think that Squarepusher album is worth buying.

Well, I ended up buying only the Manitoba CD for now. I'll look into the others after I get back from PA.

The Mountain Goats album is a little inconsistant but there are four maybe five really good songs on it. Just don't expect it to be good all the way through.

Personally I'd say it's worth picking up for 'Cotton', 'Your Belgian Things' or 'Mole'.

I'd get:

Location is Everything (plus, it's cheap)
perhaps vol. 2
Oneida, Secret Wars
Tristeza - Dream Signals In Full Circles (I don't think I have this one yet!)
Starflyer 59 - I Am The Portuguese Blues
maybe some Appleseed Cast
Joy Electric - Hello, Manequin
...ah, forget it, I don't have that much money...:-(

I have and can recommend:

Trans Am, Liberation
Celebrity, Lovesick
Coral, Magic & Medicine
Stellastarr*, Stellastarr
Stereolab, Margerine Eclipse
Magnetic Fields, i

...could probably go on, but lost interest...
