Does anyone else really like this band? I've got all of Spiritualized albums and like (most of) them a lot, but I never really got into or liked Spacemen 3 for some reason. Recently, however, I was organizing my hard drive on my computer, and I found a folder full of Spacemen 3 albums (along with a TON of other albums) that I apparently downloaded 2 or 3 years ago and then forgot about. I've been listening to them over the last few days, and they're really blowing my mind. I can't believe I was never a fan of them before.

I used to listen to them my first year of college in '94 - '95.

Not bad, although I rather listen to Spiritualized.

I love 'em, even more than early Spiritualized. I think the more recent Spiritualized albums are dull.

i'll take spacemen 3 over spiritualised, spectrum, e.a.r., and any other offshoot any day of the week

I'm in the process of buying the Spacemen 3 catalog...

"Pefect Prescription" and "Playing with fire" are in the mail.

I've only heard "Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To" and "The Perfect Prescription". That doesn't qualify me as a "big fan" but I like them from those. At Plan 9 they have "For All The Fucked Up Children Of This World We Give You..(Spacemen 3)" i'm not so sure if the name goes in the title but whatever, I haven't heard that though. I'm not sure if it's still there in the used section, either. I just thought i'd let you know, even though you've probably seen it numerous times.[/i]

i got the re-release of 'forged perscriptions' last year and i still love that record like i used too when i first heard yeares ago. I prefer them over spiritualized of today. however, i like th older spirirtualized, like pre-ladies and gentlemen we're floating in space.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Spacemen 3 and some of Spiritualized's work. E.A.R. can be a little boring at times and Spectrum sounds just like a combination of E.A.R. and Sonic Boom's work with Spacemen 3.
I used to trip to Spacemen 3. I recommend it.
