Speaking of double discs/albums, where do you guys think Being There stands with other double albums? Usually double albums turn out poorly, but there are exceptions.

Substitute London Calling for Trout Mask Replica.

This is EASILY, HANDS DOWN their best album. This is borderline a listmania album for me. I like AM, Summerteeth and YHF, but I'm not even sure that I'll consider those still worth owning in a year or two and A Ghost is Born is just plain crap. I finally gave up on ever liking it and traded it in a few weeks ago.

Zaerika isn't really a double album, it only takes 40 minutes to play.

and what about Physical Graffiti  ?

I think that's one of Zeppelin's best and definitely good overall.

The Wall is a phenominal album. Are you giving your ranking of the above or are you just naming a few?

i was secretly hoping this thread would be about the movie, which i'm told is awesome. but i've never seen it.

For some odd reason, the movie was the first thing I thought of when I saw the title. It is indeed awesome. Very, very appropriate for our current political climate. My mom made me watch this when I was little, it's one of her favorites.

Here's my list. Granted, there are some classic I just don't own but wish I did such as Bitches Brew, Two Nickles on a Dime, Exile on Main St., Songs in the Key of Life, etc. Oh, and I'm not putting Pink Floyd and Wilco #1 and #2 to make a point, I've ranked my top 10-20 albums many times and both always show up.

1. The Wall - Pink Floyd
2. Being There - Wilco
3. Blonde on Blonde - Dylan
4. London Calling - The Clash
5. Electric Ladyland - Jimi Hendrix
6. Tommy - The Who
7. While Album - The Beatles
8. Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin
9. Another One From the Road - Lynyrd Skynyrd
10. Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs - Derrick and the Dominos

I forget that these count. Sonic Youth would go in at my #3 and Can just above Swans.

I didn't realize this was a double album. I could swear the vinyl version I have is on one record, but it's a promo so maybe it's a shortened version? If so, I'll be kinda pissed.

Forgot about this, too. It would go in above Zeppelin in my list.

For some reason, I HATE Summerteeth, but I absolutely love this album.

"Forget the Flowers" and "Red Eyed and Blue" are the best tracks, in my opinion.

Original pressing was a double album - the 'extras' are available on disk, but probably not your promo. I own the single disk.

I've got to go with Far, Far Away and Misunderstood but there's not really a song I don't like.

Love it, love it, love it, despite not having the first album anymore (as referenced above)

I think I like Summerteeth a bit better but its like Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde or:
