dalen can you lecture me? i'm not really sure what there is so understand about boards of canada, it's not like we're trying to grasp the message of a fucking botticelli piece or something. so if theres something i dont understand maybe you could let me know, unless i'm not worthy either.
well, you're obviously friends with scout there, so no...no BOC for you.
Oh yeah, I might share the vast wisdom only you obtain over the holy album Music Has The Right To Children.
.
but it IS holy!!!! it IS!!!!
cemetery, it's just bullshit like this that i find annoying:
"I really want to hate this album, but I can't. I've listened to it several times before and convinced myself that it's trash, but after listening to it today I've decided that there is something about it that's irresistable."
how the fuck can it go from
trash to
irresistable after a few listens? that's retarded.
sorry, but he's the idiotic "indie hipster" that he's ranting about in his post.
oh, and i still love your artwork even though you're associated with that clown.
hey now, he's not a clown. he's opinionated, just like you. and for opinion changing stories....i thought tom waits was fucking HORRIBLE the first time i heard him, and then i found myself really craving his music.. craving, thats the best word i could come up with. but, can't opinions change? yes, they can, and to me this is a coldplay-esque situation. you want to like it because everyone loves it and its oscar nominated kind of shit, but i absolutely hate coldplay. now i really dont care that everyone else likes it, but i wish i liked it because then id be able to stand riding in the car with my sister. i guess that's the kind of situation this is. except i don't know how to apply it to this situation because i lost my train of thought, but just run with me on this one. okay i know now, boards of canada are indie hipster stuff, but theyre so good theyre hard to dislike even though theyre the coldplay of this genre i guess. now don't bitch at me for that one, but you know what i'm trying to say. i guess that's where he's coming from. and no, he's definitely not an indie hipster. i helped organize his cds last month.
