for your sake, i hope she's with them. i've heard that ac newman's niece has been subbing for neko at a lot of recent shows and is even credited on the album. this makes me wonder about neko's status with them.

The wife and I will be seeing them at a KEXP 500 club member show a week from today....we are pretty psyched about it :)

Okay, just got back to work from the KEXP 500 club show - sorry to report that Neko was NOT playing with them today but I can say that I've read EVERYWHERE that both she and Katherine(AC's neice)will be playing with them on the official tour starting in September(backing Twin Cinema).

I CAN report that Katherine did more than an admirable job filling in for Neko but must admit that it isn't quite the same, lets face it Neko is a star and a lot of the attention is often focused on her. It should be noted that Katherine actually played keyboards on this album so she truly is a member of the collective so it isn't totally like she doesnt' belong on stage.

If anybody wants to listen to the show I imagine that they will have it archived soon at http://www.kexp.org - if you don't want to wait for the official archive you can just go into the streaming archive and when it asks you for what time and date you want to listen to put in 9/23/05 @ 3:00PM[/u]
