I guy I know here at work has just let me know that he made me a DVD of
Prince - The Sacrifice of Victor

It's a concert video of Prince in 1993, playing an after-show gig, where he does nothing but blues covers. And, of course, JAMS on the geetar. It was only available as an import VHS tape, has been out-of-print for a while and is not-yet available on DVD -- maybe never. I saw it once, when I was high, when it was broadcast on VH1 or MTV or something back in 1994.

If memory serves, a couple of the songs include:
Hound Dog
Red House
The Sky is Crying

I'll have to wait until I see the sukka until I can post a full tracklisting.

All I can say is...
:nugene:

Pretty damn awesome...

I saw him play in NYC a few years ago, where he played with Chaka Khan and Larry Graham, and all they did was play covers...

the big letdown was Prince played Keyboards a majority of the night...

But the upside was, Doug E. Fresh came out and did a funk version of La Di Da Di.

*likes Prince in most capacities*

Oh, Prince in '93 was sizzling. That's when I saw him at Maple Leaf Gardens.

Just picked it up.
The guy who made it works in our Imaging center and he even created interactive menus and threw on some "hidden" material! (I have no idea what it is.)

Anyhow, here is the track listing:
The Ride
The Undertaker
Jailhouse Rock
House In Order
Call the Law
Heart In My Hand
Power of Love
In the Mood
Peach

Special guests:
The Steels
Mavis Staples
Mayte
NPG Hornz
The NPG

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeah!

Prince DVD from the early 90's? Way to give me an Obner, Todd - now I can't get up or walk around at work for a good 15, 20 min...
