In some respects it might be possible to say that some of these folks are materially better off, but for Mama Bush to suggest that these people have in some way benefitted in the larger sense is silly. Losing everything you have, even if it wasn't much to start off with sucks. Also, remember that lots of these folks have lost family members.

This is not my idea of things "working out very well for them."
