If winning 7 playoff games in 5 years makes you a hopeless shart (whatever that is?) what does that say about every coach in the NFL not named Belichick?

Then again, at least the Bills were the undisputed class of their conference for four years running.

And weren't they favored (on the Vegas line) in at least two of their Super Bowls?

(I believe so, but could be remembering wrong.)

WHOOMP, THERE IT IS!!!!!

Great smash mouth football game last night. A few observations:

1) These two teams WILL meet again down the line.
2) Last night showed why the Falcons need home field in the playoffs
3) I'll take losing Kevin Mathias for Jeremiah Trotter every time
4) McNabb wasn't the same after he took one in the ribs in the first
5) You can say Vick isn't a real QB/pocket passer. Just don't call him a loser. He just wins baby!
6) When Vick gets outside the pocket he's still the most exciting player in the NFL.

Also, the Falcons won the game but if we have any key injuries we may be in trouble. Vick isn't Peyton Manning and he will probably cost us a couple games this year but once you're in the playoffs, anything can happen. [/b]

Well...That game sucked...and the pre-game started so promising...

Derris, I agree on just about everyone of your points...

1) Losing Trotter had a big impact on the birds...If he is in there I don't think Dunn has all those yards...Some not all..

2) That hit on McNabb had him shook and he couldn't pass for shit after that..Pass to high, pass to low, pass behind.....

3)Vick gets running...He is one bad dude...They need a spy just to watch him..

4) Akers makes those field goals, the Eagles win...But woulda, shoulda don't win games...

5) That dome crowd really helped and got the Eagles confused at times...Even after a timeout they couldn't get set right becasue of all the noise...

See you guys in January....

Dude, whatever. I thought that game was awesome. Not becasue the Falcons won, but because of the instensity. I've NEVER seen two teams act that way before a game. I was just sitting there with my mouth wide open going "Holy shit, these them are about to KILL each other".

This to me was a typical first game of the year. These guys aren't ready to play 60 minutes of football yet. Qb's are gonna be a bit off for the first couple. I really don't think that shot McNabb took really effected him that much, I just think he was off. He wasn't doing ANY running either. Where's the big play that he's known for?

I'm not even gonna talk about that waste of space (as a person) #81. Just die. Big ups #21.

The reason Philly WILL NOT make it past the Falcons this year is not because of Vick, it's becasue of our D. It's just that simple.

That said, I really look forward to these teams meeting again. A LOT!

And I'm tired.

I actually caught him during a call in on Colin Cowherd's show earlier. He was pretty humble and congratulatory.

I may actually punch up the stream of WIP if only to hear the vitriol.....

The Trotter thing was pretty big but thats his fault. Warrick said that the Eagles were talking some serious junk during warmups and the Falcs just werent gonna take that at home even if Philly has owned us recently.

I just think that it showed some immaturity: Be a professional; and if you need someone to thug out and take one for the team, dont let it be your #1 run stopping linebacker when you are about to play the NFL's #1 rushing team.

Aside from that, I'll pretty much agree with Busty: That was just a good fucking football game. A damn street fight.

And yeah, we'll see the Eagles again. Just hope its down here.

pretty much. for some reason i find it really fucking funny when some millionaire gets goaded into some bullshit and costs his team a game when he KNEW that he wasn't expendable.

Especially in football. I never understood the desire to fight in full pads before a game when you will probably get the opportunity to sneak a cheap shot.

They had Eskin on 790 down here before the NFC Champ. game last year...

Pretty entertaining guy; the hosts up in Philly are just the worst kind of homer fans.....

Haaaa. Eskin is saying Mike Vick is a fraud is a quarterback.......

What a dumbass. Mike isnt traditional. But he has won over 65% of his starts in his career.

Honestly, they could run the single wing and I wouldnt give two shits. Just win baby.

My thoughts on the game:

1. Though it was an intense game and some great football was played, both teams made some stupid, early season mistakes. I don't think the game will be even remotely similar if they meet in the playoffs.

2. Brian Dawkins better be in the Hall of Fame some day.

3. Why do people keep wanting Vick to throw more? The Falcons could probably make the playoffs without throwing the ball at all. Just rotate Vick, Dunn, and Duckett run plays..

4. Trotter's going to tear people apart if we play again. No way the Falcons are getting 200 yards rushing with Trotter in the middle.

I agree with you on Dawkins. That dude is a damn man.

And on Vick too. Honestly the Vick shit is just out and out player hatin'---I mean, you dont ask Barry Bonds to bunt, right?

Plus, remember his game is predicated upon being an ultimate threat at any moment. No one is denying he has the arm, but why take away half his arsenal by limiting his legs.

Vick'll win a Super Bowl before that dipfuck Manning even smells one of the trophies.

I'll make you my standard bet: 2 40oz. You win, I pay, we play Edward 40 Hands. I win, you pay, we play Edwards 40 Hands.
