Wife needs a cool salon.I'll be staying at Shilhoe marina/area...is this in the middle of nowhere? Help Help Help. thanks

While Shilshole is certainly a little ways from downtown it is right next to Ballard and Fremont which each have a funky flair to them and offer you some great places to eat and see a show....also one of the best record stores in town, Sonic Boom Records, has locations in each neighborhood in case you wanted to peruse their selection

I do, whenever I go up there, but I'd say in general, no; People in Seattle dress like outdoorsey types/hippies (I realize this is a generalisation but its MY generalization); nobodys gonna give you a second look though, Chris...Its a pretty damn cool town.

You go 30 miles north of Seattle and you're in in cow country---the boots should be fine.

You should catch the UW/Notre Dame game at Husky Stadium on Saturday--there should be plenty of tickets still available. It's one of the best places in the country to watch a sporting event.
