so, i'm in the apple store in cambridge killing time because this fucking ipod died for the third time in as many months and i've had to wait in the queue for an hour each time just so they can give me a replacement. if i could i'd tell them to stick it and give me my money back--but nooooooo--three ipods in three months is normal i guess. fuckers. :bs:

what's ironic is none of these problems have plauged my old 2g ipod. just the new one. grrrrrr!

Anybody had any problem with the new version of iTunes on Windows XP?

I've heard that there are some glitches, especially pertaining to burning playlists.

Sorry for the hijack, seemed like the right place.

For once, I think Chris's avatar makes sense with his post.

Bummer though. I was just going to post about considering buying an MP3 player, but I think I'll buy contact lenses instead.

apparently they have a FAQ section on the website; I guess its a problem with SP2....I dunno. A buddy of mine basically called me and told me not to install it; him and his IT guy had been fucking with it for a while on their machines and were having middling luck.

Really? I'm on SP2 and haven't had any problems yet. But I don't burn my playlists, so . . . Is it only with regards to burning?

My IRiver's battery has been dying out after about 3 hours of a full charge lately. I can't figure out why it's doing it other than it's maybe because I dropped it a few times. It's still under warranty so if they fix they told me about doesn't work, I'll be sending it in.
