If anyone knows anything about where I can find Fiona Apple's cover of Fleming and John's "Ugly Girl," please let me know. I'm dying to hear it since I am a huge fan of both. Not one of my fav F&J songs though.

Is this a studio recording? I thought the only studio stuff not available on her three albums was her two covers from the movie Pleasantville, her two Johnny Cash collabs, and her cover of 'Frosty The Snowman'?

I'm not sure. Maybe she just did it live. Time period seems to have been earlier this year - which surprises me because surely I would have heard it by now. They were talking about it on the Fiona Apple board which I visit maybe once or twice a week. People were getting it confused with "Sullen Girl." But it is indeed a cover of the F&J song which was a regional radio semi-hit in 1999.

I'm familiar with the F&J version. I'll keep an eye out on SoulSeek.

What, never heard her killer studio rendition of Leaving on A Jetplane?

KILLER. Hot Jon Brion production.

My bro said there is one "Fiona Apple - Ugly Girl" on Soulseek and it is the F&J version, but some Fiona fans on her site were listing the song as one of their top 5 Fiona songs, which leads me to believe they actually did their research, cause there's no way Fleming's voice can be mistaken for Fiona's.
