haq - basically telling someone that their performance sucks and if they don't improve they are out of here. basically what i do all day - that and firing people for breaking guidelines, etc.

all kinds - i provide HR support for around 1100 people. mainly technical jobs - not just having performance problems but also behavioral issues.

no not every day but a large part of my job, as an hr person, is doing investigations and assisting managers in dealing with problems.

while I am on phone meetings listening to people drone on and on pretty much - or when I am supposed to be working up a presentation or something and I don't feel like doing it.

i support 1100 people - but that is out of a company total of over 90k. There are a lot of other resources I call in when it goes beyond my scope - such as legal, security, org development people, training people, management/leadership development people, staffing, etc, etc.
