picked this up multiple times, and put it back down. Is this the live album they are basing the DVD off of?

well its a live album but its off multiple concerts - Warsaw, Moscow, Paris, Berlin + more

Its basically an awesome Kraftwerk summary - almost a greatest hits. Apart from the applause occasionally, you wouldnt be able to tell that it's live. Some of the songs are slightly altered versions, but still awesome.

Perhaps I'll check it out with post-holiday money.

I picked it up awhile ago, but haven't really listened to it yet. Perhaps, with the ringing endorsement of splates and others, I should really take the time to play it.

Hmm... I was a big Kraftwerk fan, got this, litstened to it a couple of times, and thought the live versions paled in comparison. Seemed mildly cheesey. Will llisten again per this thread.

Apparently because my head is pounding, I don't remember posting that, and have no idea what I was reacting to.

Best album 2005 was one of the first ones to come out in the new year. Missing in Action.

Since Kraftwerk are in my top 10 favourite bands of all time, I had to get it, but for some reason, I am 'meh' about it. It is good, though, perhaps I just wasn't in the right mood for it then.
