From 4ad:

Quote:
When JM Lapham (of The Earlies) came across Magnétophone’s stunning new album The Man Who Ate The Man, inspiration struck. So - in the collaborative spirit of a record which features appearances by King Creosote, HMS Ginafore, James Yorkston, PG Six and Kim and Kelley Deal – he went into the studio to put together this sparkling collage.

Combining music taken directly from The Man Who Ate The Man with selected outtakes, stray noises and few touches of his own, JM created a woozy 15 minute tapesty which acts as a succint summary of the many delights the album has to offer and also conjures a magical atmosphere of its own.

The Lost In Edit collage formed part a Magnétophone session recorded for Rob Da Bank’s OneMusic show on BBC Radio 1 – broadcast on November 17th.

I'm listening to this song now -- minimalist stuff, perfect for a Sunday morning. I need a nice hot cup of tea or coffee to accompany this great song.

'The Man Who Ate The Man' didn't do a whole lot for me I have to say; except of course the King Creosote samples.
