Don't you feel so left out?

I'm probably having spaghetti for dinner tonight. Also, I have to work. And nobody's coming over.

:(

I don't feel left out. We already had our Thanksgiving. And I've had a superlative week thus far so I'm feeling very thankful. Hell, I may even make turkey dinner for my girlfriend tomorrow.

I feel left out. There's fuck all to look forward to this month. A nice long weekend would be all right with me right now.

Smafty, it's gonna be 17 today in Calgary, no wonder you're in a good mood.

Vancouver's 54-40 takes their name from James K. Polk's presidential campaign slogan "Fifty-Four Forty or Fight," which sought to expand the U.S. border northward. 54-40 formed in 1981 as a trio consisting of Brad Merritt (bass), Darryl Neudorf* (drums), and Neil Osbourne (vocals); they began touring the Western Canadian club circuit, without gaining much attention. In 1984, Phil Comparelli was added on guitar and vocals; Neudorf left shortly thereafter and was replaced by Matt Johnson (not The The's frontman). By the time of the band's self-titled album in 1986, their folk/roots approach had earned them favorable comparisons to R.E.M. Subsequent albums found the band moving into harder-edged territory. A lack of U.S. interest led to 1992's exclusively Canadian release Dear Dear, but by 1994, continued success in their homeland helped to make a U.S. release possible for Smilin' Buddah Cabaret in 1995.

I remember not liking this record a whole lot, but it was the first thing I thought of when I read E-Fu's post.

Yeah, because France and Germany are the best model for how to run a country.

You threw out the France & Germany card! OOOOOO!
I don't see their young dying in Iraq. So, I guess they have a lot to be thankful for too!

OK. Thanks Gobs!

I, too, feel left out.

But, there is a solution, ya know...

Get yer skinny @#s down to New York City and get into the shopping side of America -- blow some dough, catch the Macey's parade, and come home broke and refreshed.

Hhhhhaaaaaaa!!

Durham's got tons of snow today.

Ooooo, you threw out the gratuitous, smarmy shot at W card. Their young aren't dying in Iraq, because they're too busy counting the money they stole/laundered through the money for oil program, and fighting riots in the slums that have resulted from their anti-muslim racism.

But thanks for playing, fucktard.

It IS absolutely gorgeous outside, isn't it? Why do I have to be the chosen chef today? Dammit, I'd prefer to run and play outdoors.

You didn't even post anything to take up. All you said was everyone not in the US should be thankful they're not in the US. If it's so unbearable here, leave.

I'm finishing off a beer and then I'm going to head off to the beach with my mp3 player and wax poetics magazine and soak up some sun.

Numbers on Oil-for-food chicanery, please, thanks.

And, if you would be so kind, the numbers for U.S. interests, and not just European/Asian.

I don't believe that the palms of America are not greasy from this.

Also, I think the appropriate card to play, visavis Franco-European hatred, is that they hate all organized religion, not just Islam. It just happens that right now the difficulties are with the diaperheads.

edit: Seriously, get your Factor talking-points correct. The Euros. are secular-humanist fuck-tards. They loath Islam, which is fair enough - we in America should do likewise - but that loathing derives from a generalized disdain for any belief in the divine.
