I thought this thread was supposed to be about bad movies...

'sides "Clifford", one hasn't popped up that's curled my hair...The ever-ridiculous "Manos" is the only one to come close to what I thought this thread'd be about...

Dreamcatcher - one of the silliest movies I've ever scene.

Basket Case

Thriller, aka "They Call Her One-Eye" - crazy, fucked up Dutch (or something) movie from the '70s about a woman who gets kidnapped and forced into prostitution and later escapes, learns martial arts, and gets revenge. Features a few hardcore sex scenes (kind of a shock) soundtracked by wierd siren sounds and several slow-mo fight scenes where you can see streams of blood flying out of the dudes' mouths and floating in the air.

Star Trek IV - hilarity

Police Academy 6 - amazing

That's all I've got right now.

Troy (I think everyone's of the opinion that it's an overblown epic ala Oliver Stone's Alexander but I liked it enough to buy it)

Cellular (Really dumb, but Chris Evans makes it watchable. Also, it has Jessica Biel)

House Of Wax (Decent gore made it okay)

Dreamcatcher flat out sucked.

Basket Case rules though.

I LOVE that movie.

But I think it actually got some pretty good reviews. I remember Ebert liking it, I think.

I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Fucking classic!

Great movie. That ten minute no-music no-dialogue fight scenes is one of the most unintentionally hilarious things in movie history. "Oh it's Rowdy Roddy...we gotta have a fight scene and it has to go on entirely much too long"
Best.
Movie fight.
Ever.
No, that would be the House Of Blue Leaves sequence in Kill Bill Vol. 1.

And you can actually see the bullet escaping the muzzle of the gun. Yes, the slow motion scenes were insanely slow. What, does it take like a full minute from the time she hits one of them before he hits the ground?

And yes, the hardcore sex scenes (straight out of porno) were shocking.

Was not a bad movie. I scored the unrated directors cut when it came out, it was amazing.

Not sure if it's really true, but the close-up wherein she becomes "One-Eye" is supposedly real, shot on a corpse.

I just bought Santa Claus Conquers The Martians. It was great.

I'm a huge Ed Wood fan and love Plan 9 From Outer Space to death.

I also own the Toxic Avenger and Cannibal! The Musical which a lot of people will, I'm sure, classify as really bad movies. Oh, and Rock And Roll High School.

I haven't seen Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies, yet. But I want to.

Glen or Glenda, like "Kung Fu Fighting," is one of those things that transcends bad and circles around to crazy genius.

Are you kidding? I loved this movie. I like the way that, once it starts, it doesn't let up.

Which one was Jessica Biel? I don't remember her being in it...she must have had a small part...

Movies with Jessica Biel = Dov's $10.25 ticket.

Kim Basinger should be banned from making any more movies after her performance in Cellular. Seriously, she was worse than Paris Hilton in House Of Wax.

I have to admit, I wasn't blown away by her performance, but I will defend it and say that it was "adequate". Fortunately, the movie didn't hinge around her performance.
