We'll be in State College, PA visiting some friends. I imagine we'll hang out at their house and play some games, drink some beer/wine/champagne and go to bed at 12:01.

<------Openly been in a bar ONCE for New Years Eve. For the millenium Cap'N, Mrs. Cap'N (then my girlfriend) and a bunch of other folks ended up in a tiny, whole in the wall pool hall in Orlando with about three other people in it. It was right on the otherside of the fence from Epcot Center (which is were we wanted to be) and we saw the firworks. We had a blast.

I will NEVER step into a bar for NYE again. EVER!

How much money did we get paid to play at that Wing Joint a few years ago. $150? More? To play to like 15 people and openly be done before midnight.

Ooops. No wonder that place went out of business.

For once in our lives my wife and I are actually doing something crazy for NYE.

Since we usually lay low, this year we decided to go all out.

We leave for Paris on Dec 26th. Staying 2 blocks from Notre Dame in the Latin Quartier, and fly home January 2nd.

We are really excited, though planning a trip, and Xmas all at the same time makes for busy times...

Woop woop!

Party on Champs Elysees~!

Too true, I haven't been out to a proper NYE event in years because of the lushes. It's too fucking annoying, so we usually end up at house parties. This year we're hosting as some old friends from Calgary are coming up for a couple days. Should be good fun actually.

Heading into the mountains, where I rented a condo/cabin with friends. There we will wait out society's collapse...

I haven't decided yet. There's a few shows in town I might go to but don't know if any of my friends are going. There'll probably be a party somewhere afterwards anyways.

No, because that's the day after LooGAR invades Deep Ellum, and I'll be in an open casket serving chest au jus to mourners in need of flavor enhancement for the roast beef sandwich they were served at my wake.

My sweetie & I are going to escape from the big city and totally overdo it.

I got a gift certificate from my former employer that can be put towards a stay at any inn in Ontario. We were going to stay at just one but in the end decided to stay for three nights, in three different inns. It's a little crazy of us, but its been a crazy year with not a lot of quiet time. Should be pretty nice.

So excited to get away. Nothing like getting drunk & high with the honey in the country.

I don't really see it being different than any normal weekend night. Maybe I'll wear a sparkly shirt.

We're coming to your town, we're gonna party down, we're an american band.

HOB, 12/31, with Average White Band.

Grand Funk Railroad will sadly not be in attendance.

I would no sooner venture out amongst the unskilled drinkers on NYE than I would let a plumber remove my spleen.

1) Lay in a huge supply of various beers.
2) Crank the newly-reinvigorated stereo at Fortress Tentoze East-I'm thinking the concert video that came with the Born To Run box set somewhere along the way)
3) Toss unstable 30 yr-old M-80's from the front steps at random passing motorists.

That actually pretty well sums up what I'm going to do TODAY after I get done straightening up the crib a bit.

And by your town, I mean YOUR town Jen.

C-Town.

I'm gonna break my diet and visit Great Lakes Brewing Company, and Tommy's, AND Que Tal.

Although I'll behave at Que Tal, that'll be easy.

Since it's a Saturday, I think I'll brew a couple of batches of beer. Probably a double hopped red ale or Celebration clone and an Imperial Porter. New Years is boring.

The kind of parties that happen in my highschool are so dumb. They have dance parties. 30 kids get in a circle and dance like you're at the prom.
I'm terrified of going to another party, and I certainly will make sure we don't go to a party affiliated with the people who had the last party I went to.
It's fun to laugh at them, but I want to go somewhere where we just hang out and talk and listen to good music and have a good time.

I could sit and watch movies all night on new years, just as long as I have an extended curfew and i'm hanging out with Blue Milk and good friends.
