AC/DC suck.

But the hicks in this town eat them and Pink Floyd up like it was butter.

My original point, though, was the fact that they should be universally easy to find. They're not like Metallica where they might be rock or metal, they're clearly rock. You can't misspell their name. They're at the front of the section at the front of the store. When you're standing at the back of the store asking me where they are, you're just an idiot.

Oh yeah? Well at least I don't work in a record store.

I got to listen to Low and Violent Femmes in the back room today. It's improving slightly.

If you can change the bold portion to "get a blow job from the chick with Crayola red hair and the nose rings" then you are a-okay in my book.

She doesn't talk to me.

And she wears these tight-ass black pants.

I fucking hate her for it.

Oh please. I'm forty-five minutes from Toronto. I went to school with people who had never ridden on a subway.

All the kids here are would-be punk rockers who listen to Alexisonfire and Thursday. All the grown men are burnt out GM workers who drive trucks and think Pink Floyd and Metallica are the world.

That doesn't mean shit. You're in a major metropolitan area. Try living north of Barrie for awhile.

I have cousins who do. Their address is Rural Route something or other.

I'm sure it sucks that there's no one with similar interests around you. But then again, there's not really anyone with dissimilar interests around to annoy you either.

The closeness to Toronto is what aggravates it. That you can go half an hour away and be in a place swimming with interesting people with broad interests and communities and neighborhoods about the things you're interested in. But then you come home and head to work for five days a week, where you might get one customer the entire week who's looking for a Depeche Mode dvd or the new New Pornographers disc.

Ummm, Toronto doesn't have a subway. You may have trains that travel in tunnels, but it ain't no subway. From what I recall, TO was all about trams.

The fact that some people can't appreciate AC/DC for what they are ( especially the Bon Scott era ) makes my head hurt too much to really respond, aside from slappin' one of my favorite jokes about rock 'n' roll out there :

~ Bon Scott died from drowning in a pool of his own vomit... do you have any idea how much you have to vomit to fill up a pool?

I understand saying bands like BTO and Bad Company suck, but AC/DC? Come on people.

The bagpipe/keyboard/whateverthehelltheyuse in that song is killer. Love it.

That's some good shit there. I'm also a big fan of "Squealer".

AC/DC is the musical equivalent of beer...it's cheap, low-brow and too much of it makes your head hurt, but there's nothing better for starting your weekend.
