That credit card bill with $1500 in strip club charges must have come yesterday.

That is very sweet! If I had a honey who was thoughtful and knew me well, he'd probably have to post something romantic on a freeway overpass so that I'd see it on my way to work.

I've written poems for my wife. They always start out sweet and hallmarky and then go off on abstract tangents about boats growing wings and the universe as a pomegrante and what not.

I'm not cut out for the direct much.

Here's one I wrote for my wife and am thinking of getting published:

I told you to back that thang up
If you don't I'll have to rough you....up

Yeah, that's it. Rhymes and everything. Not in iambic pentameter.

Just out of interest how much does it cost to get it published?

If you do this sort of thing too early, it suddenly becomes "stalking." What the crap is that about?

it depends on how long the poem is....
he's going to email it to me next week.

i gave him a rough price.....of $122 and some change for an ad the size of 3.792" wide and 4" in depth. .
(but that's because i was going to give him a discount he didn't necessarily qualify for because i thought it was so sweet. otherwise that same space would cost him $245 bucks or so.)

Spelled out in cups inserted into the chain-link fence, right? Awwww!

Did anyone else immediately think of the part from The Office (BBC) when Dawn explains how she got engaged?

Quote:
He proposed on a Valentine's day, although he didn't do it face to face, he did it in one of the little Valentine bits in the paper. I think he had to pay for it by the word, because it just said 'Lee love Dawn, marriage?' which you know, I like, because it's not often you get to something that's both romantic and thrifty.

If I pulled that shit on my wife she'd kick me to the curb for being a walking, talking cliche (in public, no less).

if something like this doesn't make your heart melt....then your heart is made of stone.

That's a tired cliche in itself.

Given the choice, I'll take the woman with a heart of stone over the one whose heart is carved out of silly putty anyday.
